Rob Daykin, Warwickshire - 630 Premium Flow

Rob Daykin of Daykin Farming in Priors Marston, Warwickshire harvests over 800 Hectares a year with his 30ft Zurn Premium Flow header and John Deere S690i Combine.

When Rob purchased his combine with the Premium Flow header it replaced two combines. The reason he chose the John Deere combine was that he was able to have an all crop Premium Flow header on the front.

Growing around 500 Hectares of Wheat and 300 Hectares split between Oil Seed Rape, Barley, Peas and Beans. One of the biggest benefits Rob found was the ability to change very quickly between crops "We have changed from barley to rape late at night, the side knives are quick and easy to fit, they work well and are great with no motors, just the mechanical drive."

"The smooth crop flow on the header makes a real difference to the output of the combine even in laid crops. We would never go back to a standard header."

The modular design of the belt units which allows individual lifting of each belt makes cleaning and servicing the header so easy.    

Clive Wakelin, Northamptonshire - 625 Premium Flow

Clive Wakelin of Wakelin Farms in Blisworth, Northamptonshire harvest around 480 Hectares with his 25ft Zurn Premium Flow Header and John Deere CTS 9780i Combine.

When Clive changed his combine in 2006, he had previously experienced feeding problems with headers. So he chose the Premium Flow to give a good crop flow on the header and into the combine.

"It feeds so well in all crops and conditions that we can get the maximum performance out of the combine."

The crops harvested are Wheat, Oil Seed Rape, Beans and Peas. The advantage of not having to spend time converting the header when switching between different crops is a real bonus.
